A graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville and of the College of Medicine in Memphis, Dr. Chris Shaver has settled back in Knoxville to begin his new practice. Having grown up in East Tennessee, Dr. Shaver has always respected the small town approach to medicine, but brings to our practice a modern understanding of sports medicine developed from his intense fellowship training in Lexington, Kentucky.
If you have an injury that has occurred on the field or at the office, Dr. Shaver is specially trained to handle injuries of the knee and shoulder using arthroscopic surgical procedures. His goal is to get you back to your normal activities as quickly and safely as possible.
Dr. Shaver has completed research of Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair using a Double Row technique and is currently researching the benefits of Anatomic Double Bundle vs Single Bundle Endoscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament surgery. He has co-authored several publications and presented at several conferences and exhibitions around the country.
Dr. Shaver is married to Alysia, and has two sons, Jonathon and Wilson.
