We get you back on the job.
Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinics offers WorkLink,
a workers' compensation program. This ground-breaking system combines
a commitment to timely access, communication, and cost-effective, quality
care.
Timely Treatment
Of the more than 21,000 workers' compensation injuries in the Knoxville area
each year, 75 percent are musculoskeletal in nature. When an employee is
injured, our goal is to ensure fast, effective treatment, timely communication
and prompt return to work. All WorkLink patients
see a Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinics physician at one of our six locations
within 24 to 48 hours of their injury. We use both non-surgical and surgical
treatment plans to best meet the needs of individual patients.
Our dedicated spine center, TOC Spine,
offers state-of-the-art back treatment including manual therapy and functional
capacity exams. On-site physical therapy is also available at select
locations.
Communication
Injured employees, and their employers, need information fast. Tennessee Orthopaedic
Clinics asked local employers, case managers and insurance companies
what they needed in a workers' compensation program.
TOC responded to those needs by
installing dedicated telephone lines specifically for WorkLink patients
and employers. In addition, Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinics faxes detailed reports
to employers and/or referring physicians the same day the employee is seen.
If
an employee is unable to return to his or her nomal duties, our physicians
provide detailed
return-to-work restrictions that allow an employee to perform alternate work
while his or her injury heals.
We Learn Your Business
The physicians at Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinics are available to tour workplaces
and learn more about the jobs performed there. This information helps our
physicians better direct post-injury work programs and gives them an opportunity
to communicate
with employers about the best ways to prevent or reduce workplace injuries.
