Why isn’t Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinics participating with my insurance plan? or Why did you leave the network?
The practice considers several factors when deciding whether to participate with a particular insurance plan. Those factors include the number of patients covered by the plan in our community; the rates the plan will pay for our services; and the administrative requirements the plan places on our staff to authorize and receive payment for the services we render.
What if my insurance plan tells me Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinics will be paid an in-network rate?
When an out-of-network plan says it will pay the practice an in-network rate, that means the plan will pay us less than the price we have set for the service. Our rates are fair and transparent, so we are not willing to accept less from an out-of-network plan.

How Does Self-Pay Urgent Care Work?

Self-pay options, in which patients work with our TOCDOC Tennessee locations to acquire affordable services, are available to patients. Alternatively, they can choose one of our payment plans. Where they will pay a deposit at the time of service and the remaining balance monthly.

What is the Cost of Self-Pay or Cash-Pay Orthopedic Urgent Care?

Determining costs in emergency situations is difficult. Due to the urgency, we often become aware of the patient’s needs as they rush through our doors. Different areas of the body have their own respective costs that reflect both the importance of the specific body part and its function. For example, head, neck and spine issues will generally have a higher cost than the arms, hips and legs.

We have flexible self-pay and cash-pay options to help you cover the cost of our services.

Why Choose Self Pay for Physical Therapy
Insurance Based Clinic Self-Pay Accepting Clinic
You are responsible for both the clinic’s fees and the rate negotiated by your insurance company. You are aware of the price per visit prior to your session and can plan accordingly.
If you have a high deductible, you will always incur high out-of-pocket costs at the outset of care. ($150-180/visit) You have greater control over how you spend your money, as opposed to insurance plans dictating which clinics you visit, which physical therapist you see, how many visits per week, and which body part you receive treatment for.
After meeting your deductible, you may still be responsible for a copayment or coinsurance for each visit. Yes! You can pay for your treatment with your FSA or HSA card.
You can get reimbursed by your Insurance Company by sending them a superbill that is automatically provided for each visit.
Your total cost of care will likely be significantly less than in a clinic that accepts insurance.
