Copy the password that you received in the email to use when prompted when logging into the OrthoLive App.

Use your email address as your username and paste the temporary password that you copied from your email.

Q: What is Telemedicine?
A: Telemedicine is the delivery of healthcare using modern communication methods. Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinics has partnered with OrthoLive to offer this service using HIPAA-compliant secure video chat.

Q: Will my insurance pay for a Telemedicine appointment?
A: Yes, all insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid, now cover Telemedicine visit options to encourage social distancing without interrupting needed care.

Q: How do I schedule a Telemedicine appointment?
A: Currently, patients call our Scheduling Department to schedule a Telemedicine visit. Our online scheduling platform does not offer this option at this time.

Q: Is there an extra cost for a Telemedicine appointment?
A: No, there is not an extra cost. We bill insurance using the same codes as an in-person visit.

Q: I have never been to a doctor with TOC. Can I schedule a Telemedicine appointment for my first appointment?
A: Please call our Scheduling Department to determine if you are eligible to use the telemedicine option.

Q: What kind of device do I need to participate in a Telemedicine appointment?
A: The concept behind Telemedicine is for your doctor to see you and your injury, and discuss treatment options. You must use a device that can make phone calls, has video capabilities, a microphone and audio. Your mobile phone, either iOS or Android, your computer or iPad are all acceptable methods.

Q: Will I need Wifi?
A: WiFi is not required, however, it is highly recommended because you need the ability to connect to the internet. If you do not have WiFi, you need a mobile device with LTE, 4G or 3G service.

Q: What type of treatments are provided?
A: Your TOC provider can order testing such as MRI, CT, Electrodiagnostic studies (EMG/NCS) and X-rays. Treatments including injections, physical or hand therapy, prescription medications and bracing can also be ordered.

Q: How long will my visit last?
A: Typically, you can expect your visit to last 10 minutes or less.
