    This position is responsible for making appointments for patients following medical practice procedures and is located in West Knoxville.

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    • Answers phones with excellent customer service and efficiency.
    • Triages calls to appropriate areas.
    • Schedules appointments by phone or other outside services.
    • Ensures that updates (e.g., cancellations or additions) are input daily into practice management system.
    • Communicates, as needed, any patient concerns/issues with Clinic Director.
    • Uses customer service principles and techniques to deal with patients calmly and pleasantly.
    • Works with Physician Coordinator for any questions regarding difficult scheduling requests.
    • Mail coordination both incoming and outgoing.
    • Sorting of incoming, electronic faxes.

  • Physical Therapy Assistant


    Position is a 12 hour a week position located in Oak Ridge.

    This position:

    • Assists PTs in providing services that help improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries from injuries or diseases such as arthritis.
    • Helps PTs fulfill patient treatment plan and procedures such as exercises, massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot/cold packs, traction and ultrasound.
    • Records patient responses to treatments and reports outcomes of each treatment to the PT.
    • Keeps treatment area clean and organized in preparation for each patient's therapy.
    • Helps patients moving to/from treatment area by pushing in wheelchairs or providing support during ambulation.

    This position is located in West Knoxville and is full-time.

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    1. Responsible for scheduling, rescheduling and cancelling all procedure(s).
    2. Contacts area facility for available time for procedure.
    3. Educates patient on all aspects of the procedure that is scheduled.
    4. Schedules all pre-op clearance appointments with PCP or specialist.
    5. Coordinates any and all paperwork needed to facility (Including: complete order sets, H & Ps and imaging).
    6. Coordinates surgical representative through HIPAA compliant channels.
    7. Works with physician to keep pre-operative, surgical protocols updated.
    8. Schedules all initial follow-up appointments from procedure.
    9. Completes informed consents.
    10. Call in prescriptions according to MD protocol for procedure.
    11. Scans/sorts all documentation related to completion of duties.
    12. Other duties as assigned.

      Education: high school diploma.

      Experience: Minimum two years of experience in customer services, with at least six months of experience in health care setting. Procedure scheduling experience preferred.

    This position is responsible for directing and coordinating all functions of the business office to ensure maximization of cash flow while improving patient, physician, and other customer relations. It is located in West Knoxville and is full-time.

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    1. Plans and directs registration, patient insurance, billing and collections, and data processing to ensure accurate patient billing and efficient account collection.

    Experience: Minimum five years of experience in a medical business office, two years as a department manager in business office department.
