Radiology Technologist/MA- (Full-time, 32 Hours) West Knoxville

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Practices excellent customer service.
  2. Prepares patients for radiologic procedures.
  3. Takes x-rays, as ordered, following established procedures for patient care and safety.
  4. Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
  5. Ensures equipment is in working order. Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
  6. Maintains examination rooms. Stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
  7. Assists with surgical packet completion.

Pre-certification Coordinator-(Fulltime) West Knoxville

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Performs pre-certification of diagnostic testing outpatient/in-house MRIs, office injections and other procedures as required.
  2. Insurance verification, calculating co-pay/deductible amounts and informing patients of this.
  3. Some scheduling required.

Education: High school diploma.
Experience: Minimum two (2) years medical office experience preferred.

MRI Assistant- (Full-time) West Knoxville

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Looks patients in the eye and welcomes patient with excellent customer service.
  2. Checking in and checking out patients for MRI appointments.
  3. Verification of patient’s demographics, rendering Physician, insurance coverage and co-pay, at time of visit.
  4. Ensures patient’s precert is complete and accurate for appointment.
  5. Entering patient demographic information in the practice management system.
  6. Verifies and distributes patient history.
  7. Scans/sorts all forms related to the MRI appointment.
  8. Scheduling return appointments for patients.
  9. Collection of copayments and patient balances.
  10. Transports Patient to and from MRI

  12. Completes end of day batch processes.

Evaluate and triage orthopedic patients under supervision of Orthopaedic Surgeon

Follow specific protocols

Able to work independently

Experience reading orthopedic x-rays, MRIs and other diagnostic studies

Able to recognize and follow post-operative protocols and/or potential post-operative complications

Education: Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
Experience: Four years of health care experience prior to applying to PA/NP program, plus one year of experience as PA/NP, preferably in clinic setting. Splinting and casting experience, preferred.

Other Requirements: National certification from the American Academy of Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners. State PA/NP license also required. Current CPR certificate required.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Answers phones with excellent customer service and efficiency while utilizing the standard TOC greeting.
